Works to begin the rebuild of Gate Lane Toilets are due to commence, however this has been delayed due to the need to remove an electricity pole.
Southern Electric have been notified and we await completion of this task so that the project can go ahead.
We are aware that the condition of the ladies toilets is unsatisfactory and are currently looking into what provisions can be made in the meantime to increase capacity.
Please be advised that the permissive path across Afton Marsh, running from Blackbridge Road and connecting to Public Footpath F36, has been temporarily closed while Gift to Nature undertakes improvement works at this countryside site. It is anticipated that the closure will remain in place for approximately four weeks, although this may be subject to change depending on progress of the works.
The gabion works at Spinfish are now complete. The area has been grass seeded (but we need some rain) and the path is now open for use.
